The Realme X launched in India today, as the company's direct competitor to affordable smartphones the likes of the Redmi Note 7 Pro, Samsung Galaxy M40, and the upcoming Redmi K20. So here's what we know about the new phone.
The device features a 6.53-inch full HD+ (1080x2340) display with Gorilla Glass 5, and also houses an in-display fingerprint sensor. It runs on a Snapdragon 710 processor, coupled with an Adreno 616 GPU and up to 8GB RAM, and is powered by ColorOS 6.0, based on Android 9 Pie.
The smartphone packs a major rear dual camera setup, with a 48MP f/1.7 Sony IMX586 primary sensor, and a 5 MP f/2.4 secondary sensor. The selfie camera meanwhile is house in a pop-up module, as a 16MP IMX471 f/2.0 sensor.
On top of that, the Realme X boasts a refined camera software with AI-powered Chroma Boost and portrait modes, as well as a smart beauty feature.
The device is available with up to 128GB of internal storage, and features dual-Nano SIM, 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type C, as well as Dolby Atmos sound. All of this running on a 3765mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge 3.0
The Realme X starts at Rs 16,999 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 8GB/128GB version meanwhile will be priced at Rs 19,999. Both will go on sale on Flipkart and Realme's online store beginning July 24, as well as physical locations.
Purchase of the Realme also offers a free Paytm First membership worth Rs 750, when buying the device online. The phone will be available in Polar White and Space Blue colour variants.
