If you have noticed smartphone designs lately, they seem to be getting rather similar and monotonous. Just take a look around you, observe people on their phones -- phones all look pretty identical nowadays.
When budget smartphone brand Realme revealed its newest smartphone in India -- Realme X, it was no surprise that it retained the glass-back, along with a notch-less display at the front. But the one thing that attracted everyone's attention was the colour variants sported by the Realme X.
The standard variant of Realme X was launched with two colour variants -- Space Blue and Polar White. However, the device also comes in a Master Edition with Onion and Garlic colour variants! Yes, I’m as baffled as you are, when I first got to know about this.
Designed by Japanese Industrial Designer Naoto Fukasawa, both the devices still get glass backs, but with a different look and feel to it. The Realme X Onion variant, as you guessed it, looks like an onion. The back has this rust-orange colour, and the glass creates an onion-like pattern when light shines on it. The Realme X Garlic variant, on the other hand, is white with similar lines to look like the garlic skin.
To be honest, both the colour variants look nice and well, pretty different than the blue gradient that we’ve been seeing on phones from Honor, Redmi and other phone makers.
